Speed Friending: Trans & Gender Non-Conforming Community
When: Wednesday, May 20, 2026 | 6 – 8 PM
Where: SF LGBT Center
About: Join us for Speed Friending for T4T & GNC Community Members, a playful, low-pressure gathering designed to help trans and gender non-conforming folks meet new people and build community. This event is all about friendship first—whether you’re new to the city, looking to expand your circle, or simply wanting a space to connect with people who get it.
During the event, participants will rotate through a series of short, one-on-one conversations with fun prompts to help break the ice. No need to prepare anything or worry about being “good” at socializing—this is meant to be easy, welcoming, and affirming.
We’ll begin with a casual group welcome and warm-up activity before moving into the speed friending rounds, and we’ll close with time to continue chatting and optionally exchange contact information.
What to expect:
- A warm, trans-affirming space centered on friendship and connection
- Short rotating rounds with lots of opportunities to connect
- A low-pressure environment where you can participate at your own pace
- Optional time at the end to continue conversations and exchange contact info
Good to know:
- This event is for T4T and gender non-conforming community members
- You do not need to come with anyone—many people will be arriving solo
- You are always welcome to skip a prompt, take a break, or step out if needed
- Respect for names, pronouns, identities, and boundaries is expected at all times
Come as you are, and let us help with the rest. We hope you leave with a few new connections, a little more community, and maybe even a new friend or two.
