Out Proud, Quietly Loud (Art Exhibit Closing)

About: ROUNDCOLLAB is elated to announce the opening of “Out Proud Quietly Loud,” an evocative exhibition running from May 20 to June 27, 2024 at the San Francisco LGBT Center Gallery.
In conjunction with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage and LGBT Pride Months, this showcase will bring together a vibrant collection of works by emerging and established Asian artists from the U.S., Canada, and worldwide.
This exhibition will also be be showing concurrently with an expanded number of works in Los Angeles, California at DTLA Proud’s A+R=T Gallery from May 25 to June 22, 2024.
“Out Proud, Quietly Loud” explores the intersection of queerness, identity, and representation within the queer Asian community. The exhibition delves into the unique experiences and perspectives of its members, highlighting their stories through different mediums and encapsulates the nuances of identity and representations.
Mark Galvan, Japanese Butoh dance & Michele Walther, violin and live looping will perform music by Corelli, Bach, and Michele Walther. The performance will feature evocative music and dance with the theme Darkness & Light – the Cycle of Life. The music program should start at 6:00 pm and end around 7:30-8:00 pm, which includes two 20 to 25-minute long sets.
