Lyon-Martin Health Services provides excellent health care to women, lesbians and transgender people in a safe and compassionate environment, with sensitivity to sexual orientation and gender identity; all services are regardless of ability to pay.    

Registration: Phone to schedule an appointment. No walk-in clinic hours available. Fees: • Sliding scale based on ability to pay. • Medi-Cal and Medicare accepted. Waiting Period: None. Primary Services: • Operates a non-profit, community primary care medical clinic with special outreach to lesbian, bisexual, and transgender clients. General services include care for common episodicmedical problems, chronic disease management, including HIV primary care with an HIV specialist; HIV/STD testing, routine physicals and employment examinations; gynecological care and family planning (trans-affirmative) including management of menstrual abnormalities and menopause management; cervical cancer screening, Pap smears and follow-up; breast health care including referrals for mammography and follow-up. Transgender-specific services include hormone therapy for transgender transition andreferrals to surgeons for transgender-related surgeries. • Mental health services include short-term therapy with a licensed mental health provider, psychosocial assessments, counseling around gender transition, motivational counseling to encourage behavior change (i.e., quit smoking, lose weight). Other Services: • Provides case management services specifically for HIV positive and/or homeless women andtransgender people, emergency referrals for housing, food and clothing, assistance with transportation to and from healthcare appointments and buddy support, substance abuse counseling, and advocacy with public and private institutions. • Offers drop-in lunch group for HIV positive women (Tuesday at 12 noon) with meal provided.
