Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach is a community-based, social justice organization serving the Asian and Pacific Islander, and other communities of the Greater Bay Area. With offices in Oakland and San Francisco, our work is focused in the areas of violence against women/family law, immigration and immigrant rights, senior law and elder abuse prevention, the rights of those with disabilities, anti-human trafficking, youth violence prevention, affordable housing preservation and tenants’ rights, and other social justice issues.

ORAM is the only international organization devoted solely to advocating on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) refugees fleeing persecution due to sexual orientation or gender identity.
BALIF started the organization that grew to become the now-independent AIDS Legal Referral Panel, which has provided free and low-cost legal assistance to over 50,000 people since it was founded.

Also, the Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS) offers legal assistance from insured lawyers who are evaluated for their experience in over 100 legal areas. If you have been injured, the referral and the first thirty-minute consultation with your lawyer are absolutely free. For all other legal issues, you pay only $35 for the referral and first thirty-minute consultation.
The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Advisory Committee (LGBTAC) provides assistance and advice to the Commission regarding discrimination against the LGBT communities. HRC's Discrimination Complaints Investigation and Mediation Division investigates and mediates complaints of discrimination and non-compliance in employment, housing and public accommodation
Immigration Equality is a national organization fighting for equality under U.S. immigration law for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and HIV-positive individuals.
Bay Area Legal Aid provides free civil legal advice, counsel and representation to low-income people living in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara.
