San Francisco Housing Authority will open the public housing waitlist to homeless individuals and families for five days only starting January 13th, 2015 and ending January 18th, 2015! The Center is hosting drop-in hours to support community members in filling out the application.

The Castro Street Fair will be a "frooty" good time this year, with performers such as Aiden James, Big Dipper,  and feel-good cover band Pop Rocks. Local luminary DJs such as Stefanie Philips, Oscar Pineda, and Dan DeLeon will provide booty-shakin' beats. And Sundance Saloon returns with the wildly popular country western dance area, behind the Castro Theatre.

If you are tired of watching heteronormative stuff all over the media, join us for Queer Youth Movie Club!! Every last Saturday of the month the Youth Program @ the Center is hosting a Queer Youth Movie Club for LGBTQ youth and allies 24 and under. Come on in, relax, watch some queer entertainment, put in a request for the next film and meet new peeps! We will have a brief discussion of the film right after the movie. Oh, and we have a popcorn maker!!! This is a FREE and drop in. The fun starts at 2 pm.

The Youth Program is partnering with California Initiative to teach LGBTQ youth, 24 and under, how to defend themselves.

The rising number of crimes against LGBTQ youth in the city is unacceptable.  These workshops will arm you with tools and techniques you can use if you ever find yourself in an unsafe situation.
