Cheyenne Barr

Cheyenne Barr is our Room Rental Coordinator. She has produced a wide variety of over a hundred events through community organizations and college campuses; from large scale rallies to board meetings and from musical performances to hands on workshops. Cheyenne moved from her north county San Diego home to the Bay Area in 2007 to complete her masters in Women & Gender Studies at SFSU with a focus on gender, sexuality, and disability. She comes to the center with a wealth of ten years experience in program and project management and community building with nonprofits and small businesses. She is personally most drawn to hosting and managing events that forward social equity and celebrate difference and is eager to work with local organizations supporting underrepresented and marginalized communities.
Outside of the Center, Cheyenne volunteers as the Administrative Lead for the SF Dyke March. Two months out of the year she's a ceramicist and every weekend she enjoys strategy board games and building elaborate meals at home.
