Q Foundation (formerly known as AIDS Housing Alliance)SF prevents homelessness for people with HIV/AIDS by protecting the housing we already have, providing resources to secure new housing, and promoting public policy to expand opportunity for all. Our goal is to become the largest housing services provider and largest employer of people with HIV/AIDS in San Francisco.
Since 1971, the SF Tenants Union has been fighting for the rights of tenants and for the preservation of affordable housing in San Francisco. From the struggle for rent control in the 1970s to 1998's Proposition G (to end the abuses of OMI evictions), the Tenants Union has been the city's leading advocate for tenants. The SFTU is 100% membership supported and this enables our advocacy to be uncompromising and immune to pressures from government or other funders.
Our program provides low-income or homeless HIV+ persons with money management and representative payee services that help them regain the financial stability necessary to find and maintain adequate housing.

San Francisco AIDS Foundation works to end the HIV epidemic in the city where it began, and eventually everywhere. Established in 1982, our mission is the radical reduction of new infections in San Francisco because we refuse to accept HIV as inevitable. Through education, advocacy and direct services for prevention and care, we are confronting HIV in communities most vulnerable to the disease.

Our goal is to improve people’s lives by reversing the history of health inequalities that affect the Black community and other underserved groups in San Francisco.
