San Francisco General Hospital & Trauma Center is a licensed general acute care hospital within the Community Health Network, which is owned and operated by the City and County of San Francisco, Department of Public Health. SFGH provides a full complement of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, skilled nursing, diagnostic, mental health, and rehabilitation services for adults and children. It is the largest acute inpatient and rehabilitation hospital for psychiatric patients in the City.

Mission Neighborhood Health Center honors our Latino roots with a tradition of providing compassionate, patient-centered care. We advocate for health equity and deliver innovative, high quality services responsive to the neighborhoods and diverse communities we serve.

Provides legal leadership in the fight for women's equality. Brings lawsuits to achieve economic security for low income women, remove the double discrimination against women of color and expand options for immigrant women. Counsels callers around the country about their legal rights, and advocates legislative and administrative remedies. Toll-free, multi-lingual Advice and Counseling Hotline for women and girls seeking answers to their questions about discrimination they have experienced in the workplace or at school.

The Wellness Clinic provides holistic, high quality, culturally competent accessible primary health care, preventative care, and early intervention as well as behavioral health services, HIV Testing, Individual Risk Reduction Counseling, Substance Abuse Counseling, Nutrition Counseling and Testing, Long and Short-Term Psychotherapy, Hepatitis B (HBV), and Hepatitis C testing.

We provide a range of counseling, case management, education, medication and other services to San Francisco children, youth and adults who have been marginalized due to poverty, race, mental illness, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and homelessness.

Aids Case Management and Home Care

Walden House serves an adult population with a focus directed towards the integration of care for people who are either HIV positive, have co- occurring disorders of mental health and substance use, are homeless or without a medical home.

  • A Free, primary medical care clinic for low income adults, families and children.
  • Adult drop-in care is offered Monday-Friday on a first come first served basics.
  • Podiatry clinic is offered on Tuesdays from 1:30-4:00pm

The Clinic also provides an array of specialty and mental health services including: nutrition education, individual and group therapy, psychiatry, podiatry, rapid HIV testing and acupuncture.

San Francisco AIDS Foundation works to end the HIV epidemic in the city where it began, and eventually everywhere. Established in 1982, our mission is the radical reduction of new infections in San Francisco because we refuse to accept HIV as inevitable. Through education, advocacy and direct services for prevention and care, we are confronting HIV in communities most vulnerable to the disease.

The benefits counseling program provides public benefits (social security, SSI, etc) representation as well assistance with navigating the  private benefits system to HIV positive San Francisco residents. We also represent people with severe mental health and Calworks sites. No charge for services. Call or drop in for information on intake protocol.
