Trans November 2014

 Trans Lives Matter!
  TEEI E-News
   November, 2014

How are you celebrating Trans Awareness Week?
Throughout November our Trans Employment Program (TEEI) at the Center are partnering with local efforts to bring awareness to and celebrate trans* and gender diverse people across the Bay Area and beyond. I am sure you agree that change does not happen because of one person or one event, it takes community coming together to create change. We hope you will join us at the SF Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) on Nov. 20th at the Center.
We can't stop there! There is so much more work to be done, challenges addressed, and victories to win; our communities deserve access to safe and equal workplaces, services, housing, and health care. Stop by our TEEI booth at the annual Trans Health Fair on Nov. 19th at SFPL and find out how you can get involved.
As we move into the Fall I hope you will continue to join us as we move forward as a community united. Checkout some of upcoming TEEI highlights below:
Also, check out my recent trans employment guest blog and press on the need for more affordable trans housing here. Special thanks to everyone who came out for #economicjustice week at the Center.
