Information & Referral (I&R) Program
The Center’s Information and Referral Program serves as the LGBT community concierge. Whether you’re looking for social, political and cultural activities, health and wellness services, legal, financial and housing needs, the Center maps out everything San Francisco and the greater bay area has to offer. We’ll field your questions in person, via e-mail, on the web through our list of organizations, or through a phone call, making sure you are pointed in the right direction. No other comprehensive and dynamic service exists locally.
The Center’s Information and Referral Program is fully volunteer-run, and community members who devote their time in this capacity go through training to provide a welcoming and encouraging environment for our varied and vibrant LGBT and allied community. Volunteers are coached on the different programs offered at the Center and critical services for the LGBT community in San Francisco.
Visit us today at 1800 Market St @ Octavia, give us a call at 415-865-5664, or email your questions to center@sfcenter.org. We look forward to seeing you at the Center!
If you work for a non-profit or direct service organization, or conduct business towards the LGBT community, we would love to consider adding you onto our referral spreadsheet. Please email our Information and Referral Program at center@sfcenter.org for your listing to be considered.
With special thanks to Ted Fang for the founding grant to develop this database.
