Castro Lions Challenge Update

Not only did we meet the $45,000 Castro Lions Club challenge grant, we surpassed it! Including the grant, over $100,000 was raised for the Center! Thank you for helping us create a stronger and healthier community. To all of our contributors, thank you for your support - your gift allows the Center to provide vital services and cultural programs.

Congratulations to Robert Mison for winning two Southwest Airline tickets!

Thank you to our partners who helped to make our campaign so successful!

The Castro Lions Club recently pledged $45,000 as a match grant for gifts between now and December 31, 2014. The entire community and allies are encouraged to contribute at any amount.

“The Castro Lions Club was founded in 1985, during the AIDS epidemic, setting out immediately to raise much needed monies for organizations helping people in need,” stated Gary Nathan, Castro Lions President. “The Center is here today to help those most in need.  It is a gathering place for social activities and a place to represent our Community during times of crisis and celebration.  The Center will always be here as safety net for all unforeseen future needs.  That is why we want to support the Center and are asking others to help us do that through this matching grant.”

Funds will support a broad range of services including the Center’s Economic Development, Youth Services and Community and Cultural activities.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Castro Lions and all who contribute as it will help us reach our goal of serving the widest community possible.
