(San Francisco, CA, Oct. 6, 2016)-The SF LGBT Center will host its 39th LGBTQ Career Fair, the nation's largest, on October 27, 2016. The event, which is expected to feature over 40 Bay Area employers, will be held at LinkedIn's San Francisco offices located at 222 2nd Street (cross street is Howard), from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event, produced by the Center's LGBTQ Employment and Trans Employment Programs, showcases leading Bay Area employers dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The career fair also provides jobseekers the opportunity to network and learn about a wide range of opportunities and careers.
"Even in progressive places like San Francisco, the LGBTQ community continues to face job discrimination, especially transgender individuals and people of color," said SF LGBT Center Director of Economic Development Clair Farley. "The heart of the Center's mission is to connect our community to the resources they need and we need the support of local companies to get more LGBTQ people hired."
Employers attending the career fair will be seeking all levels of qualified jobseekers, including those with backgrounds and qualifications in technology, administration, financial services, sales and marketing, management, retail, hospitality, among many others.
Among the over 40 companies attending are: LinkedIn, Microsoft, Pandora, Apple, SolarCity, Comcast, Accenture, and Nielsen. Media sponsor San Francisco Business Times will be also showcasing at the event.
