We are excited to announce that we have invited Yaasha Sabba, Chief Counsel at Sky Unlimited Legal Advisory PC, back to host another legal workshop for small businesses.

During this workshop, Yaasha will talk about legal risks for small business as well as choosing the right legal entity for your business.

He will also be answering legal questions you have about running your business such as IP and business partnership.

As a former patent attorney for Visa Inc.,Yaasha Sabba managed a global portfolio of 1,500 patents, including the technology behind Apple Pay and Android Pay. Now, his day-to-day ranges between counseling business owners on their legal, insurance, finance and tax foundations, helping families protect their children and estates, and providing inventors with guidance on expanding their ideas.

Yaasha is a licensed attorney in California and is a member of the U.S. Patent Bar. He spends most his free time mentoring Millennials and iGens on financial literacy and giving presentations on personal financial growth, kids protection planning, and asset protection.

The Nuts and Bolts of Buying a Home

In this workshop we'll cover:

-Costs involved with buying a home

-The homebuying process

-Loan affordability

-Mortgage payments and interest calculations

-First time homebuyer assistance programs

 

This workshop is open to all, but can also help you obtain the Certificate of Completion of Homebuyer Education for the Mayor's Office of Housing. In order to receive your certificate, you must complete the following:

Nuts & Bolts of Buying A Home (4 hour workshop)

You must also attend ONE of the following:

Budgeting & Savings (2 hours) OR Managing Credit & Debt (2 hours)

 

 

Once you have completed your 6 hours of workshops you can set up your required 1:1 counseling appointment to complete your education requirement.

Homebuyers can view the list of available BMR homes for sale at www.sfmohcd.org/current-homeownership-listing

STEP 2: INCOME INFORMATION
Come prepared to discuss your total gross (pre-tax) household income for all household members who you intend to live with.

STEP 3: PROOF FOR PREFERENCE
A housing counselor can help you determine if you may qualify for a lottery preference. If you do qualify, you may be required to submit documentation such as a utility bill, paystub, school record, or public

Resume writing and review, cover letter writing and review, Interview preparation and mock interviews. We have special guest volunteers who work professionally in hiring and recruiting to provide focused support.

Job-seekers are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume, cover letter or even a copy of the job description of the job they are planning to apply to.
